Dominique Tey unveils her debut ep “Heartstream”

Having spent the last few months releasing a flurry of engaging and enigmatic singles including ‘Heartstream’, ‘Let It Out’ and ‘Every Part’, Stockholm-based frontwoman Dominique Tey finally released her debut EP ‘Heartstream’.

Since finding prominence in her initial outfit MASSAI, Tey has proven herself to be an awe-inspiring solo performer. With comparisons to the likes of Beach House and Cocteau Twins, as well as support from The Line Of Best Fit and Clash, the Swedish frontwoman looks to continue her upward ascent with her latest offering. Much like her initial cuts, these new additions see the artist in an even more tranquil and atmospheric light.

While ‘Feelingless’ aims to channel a more electronic pulse, with an almost 80s synthwave inspired influence, the EP’s ending ‘Ocean Deep’ shows us her more swooning side, opting for hollowed vocals over a soft and soulful bed. With hundreds of thousands of streams on Spotify already, Dominque Tey has truly captured the heart and imagination of the listening public in these last few months. With a varied yet concise sound throughout, her first EP looks set to establish her signature sound and introduce us all to one of Sweden’s most captivating new exports.

Coucheron introduces yet another exciting up and comer on “Warrior”

Much like his material of late, ‘Warrior’ is a delightfully slice of uplifting Norwegian pop that is bound to turn heads. Filling the familiar electro-pop shoes of Passion Pit and Baths, ‘Warrior’ has an insatiably catchy bounce to it, but manages to remove itself from the glossy, cheese sound of the mainstream, giving us a feel-good anthem for the summer.

Supported by YouTube giant CloudKid, the track reached half a million plays within its first weeks.
